My recommendation is to allow Individuals and/or households to indicate, either via lds. Org or LDS Tools, that they wish to cease contact. Or, at least provide a way for the local leadership to add individuals or households to be added to a “Do Not Contact” list. Church leaders, such as eventual prophet Gordon B . Hinckley and current apostle Dallin H. Oaks, were tricked into believing those were genuine, shelling out thousands of dollars to purchase them, and even defending the contents of the documents in pulpit talks. Consider the following statements by Mormon leaders : Joseph Fielding Smith , the tenth president of the LDS Church (1970-72): “If Joseph Smith was a deceiver, who willfully attempted to mislead the people, then he should be exposed; his claims should be refuted, and his doctrines shown to be false.” (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. Gramps responds to questions about callings and positions in the LDS Church . He discusses bishops, authority, balancing personal life and church responsibilities. Maybe you’ve know them personally and based on what you’ve witnessed in the past, you can’t believe that the Lord would actually want them to preside over you and others. The Church Directory of Organizations and Leaders (CDOL) contains information about Church organizations and leaders (ecclesiastical and temporal) throughout the world.
